ComChay.com (“this site”) respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect and how it is used.

What we collect

  • Contact form: your name, email address and message. Used only to reply, and sent to the editor’s email. We keep it only as long as needed to respond, and delete it when it is no longer needed.
  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address, the language you signed up in, and the date and time of your sign-up (consent). Stored in this site’s database to send you notices of new articles. We send a confirmation email to the address you enter and subscribe only people who open the link in that email. We do not send the newsletter to unconfirmed addresses. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in our emails, or by contacting us. We keep this information until you unsubscribe.
  • Access information: server access logs (IP address, pages viewed) are recorded by the hosting provider, Xserver.
  • Preventing form abuse: to stop rapid repeated submissions, we temporarily store a one-way converted value of the sender’s IP address for up to 15 minutes.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4): we use Google LLC’s Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It uses cookies and similar technologies, and sends information such as the pages viewed, the referring site, your approximate region and your device and browser type to Google, in a form that does not identify you. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy and may process it on servers outside your country. Visits by the site operator are not measured. You can stop this collection at any time with the button below or in your browser’s cookie settings (how Google uses data, Google Analytics opt-out add-on).

Sign-in and registration with a Google account

This site may let you sign in or register with a Google account. When you use it, Google provides your name, email address and profile image URL to this site, and they are stored as your member information. Your Google password is never provided to this site. We use this information only to keep you signed in and to contact you when necessary, and we do not provide it to third parties. To close your account and delete your information, please contact us.
